Must have chocolates around the world for your sweet tooth when you travel

It’s the season... love is in the air and so is the sweet scent of chocolate! This year, when you are filling your true love’s chocolate box, we invite you to take inspiration from around the world.

Mexico - Mexico is the birthplace of chocolate. It started with a chocolate drink “chocolatl,” a luxurious drink that was available as early as 400 AD. The drink was made from liquefied cocoa beans, spiked with chili pepper, vanilla, and annatto.

To celebrate its heritage, make your sweetie a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up around a fire.

United Kingdom - Pass the Cadbury Bar! Cadbury originally began selling tea, coffee, and drinking chocolate in the 1820s. They developed “Dairy Milk” chocolate in 1904. This chocolate had a much higher milk content and quickly became popular. Now you can buy Cadbury Eggs and “Dairy Milk” bars all over the world, but we think they taste best when strolling along cobblestone streets with your favorite person.

Italy - Picture this. A café table, an espresso, and a piece of Italian chocolate. Is your mouth watering yet? Amadei is the most popular producer of chocolate in Italy. They purchase their cocoa directly from the growers and make some of the best chocolates in the world. That’s amore!

United States - Would you like a Kiss? This creamy milk chocolate treat, made by Hershey’s, has been a classic for years. When a single Kiss just won’t do, grab your honey and head out to Hershey, Pennsylvania to visit what is possibly the sweetest place on Earth.

Belgium - We dare you to go to Belgium and not go into a chocolate shop! There are over 2,000 throughout the country. In fact, the chocolate in this country is considered to be the standard by which all others are judged. Belgian Chocolate holds on to its aroma longer than others due to the production process. Chocolatiers only cool the chocolate when it is almost finished. Also, Belgian Chocolate is handmade. These two factors cause the chocolate to be more expensive, but it is the season of romance, so treat yourself and your love!

Chocolate symbolizes love, passion, attraction, affection, and sensuality. With all that they mean and its delectable taste, why not give chocolate to your darling

this year?
